life on the vines

i live life on the vines,
in the stillness of earth tilled in rows.

when it rains, i feel it in my toes
as if they too are rooted
summer sunlight fills my soul
as it plumps the grapes
and in harvest, i taste the sweetness
of another year passing.

Beautiful – captures the sense of being rooted in a place, a garden

I love this poem, touches the part of me that is rooted in home and garden, with no desire to travel. The poem inspired one of my mosaic pieces.

    1. Lynn, thank you so much! I am grateful to you for reading and feeling inspired!
