apocalypse (haiku)

sidewalks buckle, this
beginning is not an end,
circles, set us free.

Happy Thanksgiving my American friends!!
I’m thankful for each and every one of you lovely readers.

Thanks for supporting me over the years (can’t believe it’s been multiple years!!)

lie down in flowers,
how your body is now the weight
of dirt blocking sun.

thrill! how it melts like
jungle sunsets dripping hot,
every pore filled up.

gray walls, stockings tight,
hair slicked back, a hurtful bun.
tattoo underneath….

lowly river stone,
slowly days rub my shoulder
lightly smooth and dull

Emerson tempts me-
pages aged musty with a
self reliant wink.

systematically,
robots take our place outside.
we are home, plugged in.

coveted prize, she
shines like a trophy, winning,
and gathering dust.

older, yet this now
steady like a boat turned port
heading in search of…
