Drop leaves Faucet

Drop leaves Faucet
carefully –
slyly looking both ways
like a prisoner in a daring escape,
takes a breath
closes eyes,

Launches!

free falling bliss
to desperate reconsideration
wind pulls delicate skin
and all is quiet

Drop shatters into
a million shining sparks on a stainless steel
tundra,
Transforms into something infinitely soft.

Take one last look, Drop, at a cold grey world and
drain toward something
altogether new

I just BECAME that drop–while reading–and now I feel myself evaporating. But In my inner hydrogen, I am certain there is a heaven of wetness waiting for me above.

And it will send me back again…but where? Maybe this time as a salty tear in your eye, to help your cry.

Sorry! I just write what I'm thinkin' sometimes and I cannot stop the keys from clacking.
    PEACE!

very cool piece…love how it all starts with a drop and becomes so much more…and i like the allusions to its own trepedations at the drop…

Is your drop mindful she has options? Can she find a different wind to nudge her?

I wish your drop, a new, clings longer, endures for having found a better place.

Perhaps you will write of it if it comes to pass and in a way as eloquently as you have done here.

    Cheers
